Music Ministry

Jan Houser, Director of Music

Our Savior’s Singers

Our Savior’s Singers are a caring, praying, and compassionate family still rehearsing in our roundtable/chocolate set-up (begun when we returned from the pandemic). We share our prayer concerns and faith in our gatherings and in our actions. Prayer power, music and worship are our spiritual passions. This means everything. Then on Sunday mornings our choir comes together to share our God-given talents with the full congregation at the 9 AM Classic worship service.

God has given us the calling and confidence to share twice-a-year cantatas with the Church and the Jefferson City community. Faithful guest singer friends and instrumentalists bless us with their hearts and musicianship. It is a blessed gift to our faith community.

“A Journey to Hope”

Amazing performances were turned in by the following. A free-will offering of nearly $600 was given to the Samaritan Center!

Not a Coincidence

“An Evening in December”

Every Christmas season, the choir, led by Jan Houser, presents an outstanding production that mirrors the faith of this congregation in the “reason for the season!” In December 2025, a freewill offering of over $1,000 was taken to benefit “Room at the Inn” and the Samaritan Center.

Loving Thanks to Our Blessed Singers!

We have so many wonderful OSLC people who sing and pray and reach inward and outward not only at Sunday worship but all year through. Our Savior’s congregation provides love and lots of encouraging comments and support for our sacred music ministry. We are always looking to add new singers! If you are interested in joining the OSLC choir, please contact Jan Houser. All praise to God!

10:30 AM Modern Worship

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Praise Band

At 10:30 a.m. modern worship is led by a praise band team with keyboard, guitars and drums. This service takes place in the worship center on the lower level of the church. This very musically talented group also regularly shares their music at many of the various gatherings, pot luck and social events throughout the year.

Kim Duggan, Director

Jubilation Bells Choir

The approximately 15+ members of the Jubilation Bells choir under the direction of Kim Duggan are always excited to ring together throughout the year. Often joined with guest appearances by a few other talented souls, they not only enjoy ringing during worship services but also participate in the Christmas Cantata and the Christmas Eve services.

We have four octaves of handbells and three octaves of chimes. In addition to ringing, dedicating time for fellowship is very important to us. If you are interested in joining Jubilation Bells, please contact Kim Duggan at kimberly_duggan@yahoo.com or 573/680-7358. You do not have to be a music reader to join! We make it easy to learn by highlighting the notes for each ringer! Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 7 p.m.
